Licence

There is no one licence for everything here, because a subscription product and an open-source library are not the same thing. This page says which is which, per product, and where the full text of each licence is.

Fucini Coverage Studio

The extensions you install — for VS Code and for Visual Studio — are one commercial product: a free Community tier in VS Code, a 14-day trial of the paid features, and then a subscription that covers both editors — or a 7-day pass, which covers both for its week. While your subscription is paid up you have a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the distributed builds for the number of seats you bought, a seat being a device, including commercial use — the Terms of Service state it in full.

Its licence is a proprietary licence: you may install and use the published build within your plan, in every edition and in every editor it ships for, and everything else — copying, modifying, redistributing, reverse engineering — is reserved. Its source code is not published. The full text is on the Coverage Studio licence page; third-party attributions are on its notice page.

The products on the road ahead

None of these is released, and no licence is granted for any of them yet. Their pages describe what each intends — FuciniLog and Fucini Beacon, for instance, as open core with every client library and the collector under MIT and a licensed Pro edition on top — and that intention is information, not a grant. Each gets a licence page of its own when it ships, and this page will lead to it.

The flags in the language selector are from flag-icons (MIT); the wordmark of the Fucini Software logo is set in Montserrat (SIL Open Font License). Quoting a page to describe or review a product is welcome; reusing the artwork or the product names to suggest an affiliation is not.

Alternate terms

If a licence here does not fit — you would rather not satisfy an attribution condition, need a site licence, or want to embed something in a product of your own — write to us and we will discuss it.
